NATIONAL CONVENTION AND TOURNAMENT PKD sponsors a National Convention every other year at which time the business of the organization is conducted along with an annual national tournament in individual events and debate. Competition is open to all undergraduate students who are members of PKD. This tournament can justifiably be considered a "team" national tournament because both individual events and debate points add up to create the final sweepstakes total for a school. Quite often, PKD sponsors experimental events at the National Tournament. Students find the atmosphere at the National Tournament refreshing and educationally satisfying. Our unique feature of the PKD National Tournament is that 60 percent of the contestants in each event are recognized for their accomplishments at the tournament. The top 10 percent receive superior awards. The next 20 percent are rated excellent, with the next 30 percent receiving good ratings. In addition, team sweepstakes awards follow the same percentage rating system. Want to be a part of this list??
